Development-Life Skills is an NDIS Capacity Building support that helps you learn or strengthen the everyday skills you need to live more independently. It covers things like cooking, budgeting, using public transport, personal hygiene routines, and managing appointments. It is funded under your NDIS plan's Capacity Building budget.
You can work on a wide range of practical life skills — from preparing meals and managing money to catching public transport, maintaining personal hygiene, using technology, and handling appointments and paperwork. Your training is tailored to your goals.
Development-Life Skills is funded under your NDIS plan's Capacity Building — Daily Activity budget. Evia Health accepts all NDIS funding types — self-managed, plan-managed, and NDIA-managed — as well as private pay.
It depends on your goals and the skills you are working on. Some participants see progress in a few weeks, while others benefit from ongoing support over several months. Your training plan is reviewed regularly so it always matches where you are at.
